The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men’s and Women’s basketball teams swept a pair of games in Colby on Saturday.

The Raven Men go to 9 – 1 on the season with the 98 – 83 victory over the Trojans.  The Red Ravens were down by 5 when a 6 – 0 run gave them the lead that they held the rest of the game.  That 6-0 run was capped by a three pointer by Nathan Johnson.

Five Ravens scored in double figures led by Jordan Wildy with 22 and Hayden Brittingham with 21.  The Raven Men improved to 9 -1 on the season with Saturday’s win.

In the first game the Lady Ravens dominated in 77 – 36 win over Colby.  The Lady Ravens broke out to a 28 – 0 lead by the end of the first quarter with the help of a flurry of 3 -pointers including this one by Kennedy Roach that gave the Lady Ravens a 13 – 0 lead.

The Lady Ravens expanded their lead to 43 – 3 at the half.  CCC had five players scoring in double figures led by Kennedy with 22.  The Lady Ravens improve to 7 – 3 on the season and 3 – 1 in conference .

Both the Men and Women will be home when they host the Butler County Grizzlies at Nellis Hall on Wednesday night.
