Nado Spoil LCHS Homecoming

Field Kindley picks up their fifth win of the season with a 32-14 win over Labette County.

After forcing a three and out by the Grizzlies, the Nado methodically moved the football down the field capped off by a 6-yard touchdown by LaMarcus Allen. The Grizzlies would answer right back with a two-play 69-yard touchdown drive cutting the Nado lead to 8-6. On the next drive for the Nado, Jeremy Colbert would find the endzone for his first touchdown of the night extending the lead to 16-6. Coffeyville forced a fumble in Labette territory and on their first play after the fumble Colbert would run one in from 21-yards out. The Grizzlies would answer with a touchdown and two-point conversion before halftime making it 24-14 heading into the break.

After a high-scoring first half, both teams would go scoreless in the third quarter. Early in the fourth, the Nado made a slight change in their offensive strategy as Jo Neuenschwander would come in at QB in what Coach Deonta Wade calls his heavy formation. It took three plays and 65-yards, all coming from Neuenschwander, for the Nado to score their first points of the second half. Coffeyville improves to 5-1 and will take on 6-0 Chanute at home for Senior Night.
