Nado Ground Game too Much for Indy

Field Kindley improves to 4-0 with a 42-13 win over rival Independence on Homecoming Night.

The Bulldogs would strike first and take a 6-0 lead on a Camdon Julian touchdown pass. Indy had some tricks up their sleeve and would follow the touchdown with an onside kick that they recovered. The Nado defense would step up, intercepting Julian and giving the offense good starting field position. Coffeyville struggled to find any offensive rhythm early in the game until backup running back Lamarcus Allen would capitalize on his first carries of the season scoring on 4th and 2 from the five-yard line. After another Nado interception, Allen would score his second touchdown of the season and give Coffeyville the 16-6 lead. FKHS would add one more touchdown in the first half with a halftime lead of 24-6.

It was all Jeremy Colbert to start the second half for Coffeyville as he had all fifty-five yards on the opening touchdown drive. The Bulldogs would respond on their first drive of the second half stopping the 30 unanswered points by Coffeyville and cutting the lead to 30-13. Colbert would add two more touchdowns for Coffeyville putting an end to Indy's comeback hopes. The Nado didn't attempt a pass on the night having over 350 yards rushing. Colbert finished with 192 yards and four touchdowns. Allen added over 100 yards on the ground himself with two touchdowns. Coffeyville travels to Wamego next week in a battle of unbeaten teams.
