Nado Track Competes in First Meet of the Year

 

Field Kindley track pick up multiple top-three finishes in the cold at their first meet of the year.  Yesterday, the Nado varsity track team competed at the Labette County High School track meet and despite the cold weather saw lots of success in multiple events.

 

Junior Mikayla Strickland took first in the 100-meter hurdles. Senior Zac Slavin won first in the 400-meter with Sophomores Amir and Amani Luten finishing second and fourth, respectively. Senior Nathan Barrett, who was competing in his first event in three years finished second in the 1600. Junior Chaunte Porter finished second in shot and discus and Kainen White finished 6th. Freshman Aaron Tunstall finished fourth in the 100-meter. Julianna Morgan took fourth in the 3200.
