Field Kindley splits their doubleheader with Cherryvale falling in the first game 7-6 and winning game two 17-1.

The Nado comeback fell just short in the first game after getting down by four runs in the sixth inning. FKHS was able to cut the lead to one on a passed ball and a single by Garrett Vannoster. Despite the loss, the team did outhit Cherryvale 14 to 13. Greg Frazier, Masons Lochner, Joseph Neuenschwander, Vannoster and Joseph Hernandez all collected multiple hits for the Nado. Frazier got the start going five innings, allowing six runs on ten hits, striking out five and walking one. Defensively the team didn't commit any errors in the field.

Mason Lochner led the way in game two with four hits. Lochner had singles in the first, second, fourth and fifth. Joseph Hernandez earned the win in his first start of the season going five innings, allowing two hits and just the one run while striking out four and walking one. Coffeyville collected 15 hits, with Lochner, Hernandez, Frazier, and Mack Ghering all with a multiple hit game.

Coach Will Owens says they started off in game one much like they did against Parsons and started to let things get away from them. He says about the 4th inning he saw some guys take a step forward and help turn the tide to where they want to be. Coach Owens says they asked the team to take the next step and be dudes on the field, which showed up in game two. Next game is Friday at home taking on Fort Scott.
