The Field Kindley basketball season comes to an end last night as the Nado boys fall 58-39 to Wamego in the first round of Sub-state.

First-half shooting woes and turnovers plagued the Nado trailing by double digits at halftime 23-12. The Nado could feel the pressure of the early deficit and started to force shots and despite 27 points in the second half Wamego was able to steadily increase their lead pulling away for the victory.

In their finals game in a Nado uniform, Ethan Viets fouled out with 10 points, Caden Herring lead all scorers with 14 points and Zac Slavin added 7 points off the bench. Coach Griffin Walker finishes his first season as head coach with a 7-14 record. Coffeyville will return a lot of young talent next year as three of the five starters are underclassmen.
