The Caney Valley Bullpups season came to an end Monday night as the Riverton Rams snuck away with the win 40-37 Monday night in Caney.

 

Caney Valley got out to a quick 7-0 lead early on thanks to Jack Billingsley hitting the first of his five 3-pointers on the night. However, Riverton went on to outscore the Pups 7-2 the rest of the period and Caney led 9-7 after one.

 

Riverton turned it on in the second quarter seizing the lead from the Bullpups as the Rams' Jamey Richardson took to the sky.

 

The Rams led at the break 20-18 and both teams took turns trading the lead back and forth throughout the second half which saw the Bullpups down by three with time running out.

 

Billingsley led the Bullpup attack with 17 points while the Rams were led by Richardson with 14 and Loch North with 13. The Rams move on to play Galena on Thursday who dispatched Fredonia 79-30. The Bullpups season comes to an end with an 11-10 record.
