Raven Women Dominate in Big Win Over Pratt

For the second time in a week, the Coffeyville Red Raven women took a game off of KJCCC minnows Pratt, winning comfortably 79-49.

Things wouldn't get out of hand right away. The Beavers came out firing, matching Coffeyville step for step. It wouldn't be until the second quarter that Coffeyville really started to pull ahead. Over the following 10 minutes, the Ravens outscored Pratt 27-8, draining 3-pointer after 3-pointer from nearly exclusively the corner to take a massive 20-point lead at the half.

From there, it was just a matter of keeping the ship steady and staying out in front. The Ravens were more than able to do so, holding Pratt to just 6 points in the third quarter, while extending their lead to as much as 35 points. Although Coffeyville never stopped scoring, Pratt was able to close the deficit to 30 before the final whistle, 79-49.

Despite the massive offensive output, Faith Simpson led the way with just 15 points. Martina Aeschliman came through for 11 points, and eight other Ravens finished with at least 5 points or more. Coffeyville improves to 18-10 on the season and 12-10 in conference play. They'll take on last-place Northwest Kansas Tech on Wednesday to finish up the regular season.
