Ravens Cruise to Comfortable Win Over Seward

The Coffeyville Red Ravens continued its campaign for a first round home matchup Saturday, easily overcoming the Seward County Saints by the score of 81-64.

Although the Saints scored the first points of the game, the Ravens led the rest of the way. AJ McBride set the pace early, draining several 3-pointers to push the Ravens out in front. By halftime, Coffeyville had taken its lead out to 11 points, 36-25.

Coffeyville's offense would only get better through the second half. More and more players began to get further involved, such as leading scorer Love Bettis and Blaise Keita. Seward did continue to fight, even getting the game back to within 5 at one point. However, the relentless Coffeyville attack meant that the Saints couldn't possibly keep up. The final score came through with the Ravens on top, 81-64.

McBride led the Ravens in scoring Saturday, picking up 25. Bettis added 21, and Keita had 17. The Ravens are 15-12, 12-9 in the KJCCC, and move on to face Colby on Monday.
