Nado Split on Homecoming Against Fort Scott

Field Kindley splits their Homecoming matchup against Fort Scott with the girls falling 54-22 and the Nado boys winning 44-40.

In the girl's matchup, the Lady Nado would keep it close early but after they cut the lead to three in the second a barrage of three-pointers from Fort Scott would see them lead by 16, 36-20, at halftime. A Lady Nado team that shot well in the first half would go cold in the second half only scoring two points. Chaunte Porter and Taiylor Caron both led Coffeyville with 8 points.

In the boy's matchup, both teams would struggle to find their rhythm offensively which led to a low-scoring 16-11 lead for Fort Scott at the half. The Nado started to figure it out offensively in the second half. They outscored Fort Scott 12-11 in the third and then 21-13 in the fourth. In a game that saw no first-half free throw attempts the teamed combined for 44 second-half free throw attempts, 32 of which were in the 4th quarter. After a Griffin Adamson and one to tie it up, Ethan Viets would hit a wide-open three in transition to give the Nado the fourth quarter lead and they never looked back. Three Nado starters scored in double digits. Zay Logan and Viets both had 12 and Caden Herring had 10.

Nado next in action against Labette on Tuesday with the girl's matchup starting at 6:00am.
