3-Point Barrage Not Enough for Red Raven Women

A three-point barrage for the Red Raven women's basketball team just wasn't enough Monday night, as Coffeyville dropped its fifth straight, 73-63, to Cloud County.

Coffeyville was looking for a bit of revenge against the Thunderbirds, as the Concordia side beat them by 21 points in their first contest earlier in the year. While the scoreline never reached those heights, the Ravens did trail for the majority of the contest, never really seeming to take off on offense for the first three quarters. However, her trifectas were almost immediately matched by Cloud, only making the comeback effort more difficult. Although Coffeyville was successful in knotting up the score at 63-63, a final 10-0 run for the Thunderbirds secured the season sweep, and sent the Ravens to another close loss at home.

Faith Simpson led all scorers in her first game on the bench this season, finishing with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Carter came through with 16 total points, 12 of which came from beyond the arc. Coffeyville has dropped five straight, heading into a matchup with Pratt on
