Nado Drop Both to Rival Indy

Coffeyville drops both at home to Independence as the Lady Nado fall 62-28 and the Nado boy's 50-47.

In the girl's matchup, Field Kindley would come out flat as the Bulldogs opened the game on an 18-0 run and would never look back. Olivia Ransom would hit the first basket of the game, a three-pointer, to make it 18-3. Mercy Smith for Indy would answer right back shutting down any momentum the Lady Nado might have grabbed. Indy would extend the lead to 40-15 at the half. The Bulldogs only scored 22 second-half points but the damage was done. Abby Veile led all scorers with 17 followed by Mercy Smith with 14. For the Lady Nado, the three-ball was where they found their most success with Aubriona Noblitt scoring 6 points both from beyond the arc and Ransom hitting two as well finishing with 8 points.

The boy's matchup was much closer this time around compared to the matchup in Independence in December.. It was a story of quarters as Coffeyville would control the first and third quarters but Indy the second and fourth ultimately getting them the victory. Ethan Viets would lead Coffeyville with 28 points followed by Griffin Adamson with 10 only five Nado scored. Easton Ewing led Indy with 19 and nine of ten from the free-throw line.

Coffeyville is back on the road taking on Parsons this Friday at 6:00pm.
