The Bullpups broke out of the gate quickly and never looked back as they overwhelmed the Neodesha Blue Streaks 66-26.
Gage Grant started on fire for the Bullpups on the night scoring the first 11 points including this 3-pointer to cap off that run.
Caney Valley led 15-8 at the end of the first quarter when they threw on the defensive clamps. Neodesha would only score eight points over the next two quarters including the first 7 minutes of the third quarter to lead 47-16 after three quarters. Bullpups head coach Jim Deaton unloaded the bench and saw them score 18 points in the final frame to set up the final score.
Grant led all scorers with 19 points and hit five 3-pointers on the night. Freshman Colt Hightower added 13 points of the bench for the Bullpups. Neodesha's Maddux Johnson struggled on the night and ended with 10 points to lead the Blue Streak attack.
Caney Valley improves to 4-7 on the season and will next take the floor against Field Kindley Monday night. Neodesha dropped to 2-10 and will travel to Wilson County rival Fredonia Tuesday night.
