Coach Walker Picks Up first League and Home Win

Both Freshmen and Seniors step up for Coffeyville as they beat Chanute 53-43. It was a back and forth affair that show the end-of-quarter scores swap lead each time. The Nado would get out to a good start but Chanute had an answer for everything. A strong opening quarter from Larsen Koester, who had 8, had the Comets up 16-14. The Nado answered right back in the second quarter with 10 of their 12 points coming from Ethan Viets and two freshmen Aaron Tunstall and Keshawn Hayes. Coffeyville would lead at the half 26-24.

The third quarter would see another four-point swing as Chanute would take a 36-34 lead. Just 30 seconds into the fourth quarter Viets would hit a go-ahead three and the Nado never looked back extending the lead by as much as 13. The Nado were lead by the Freshman Tunstall with 13 as well as 13 from Senior Caden Herring. Viets was also in double digits at 10. Coffeyville also held Kam Koester, who was coming off a 42 point outing against Fort Scott, to just 10 points.
