Chanute Takes Advantage of Lady Nado Foul Trouble

Four Lady Nado starters foul out as Chanute pulls away late winning 68-52. Field Kindley got the night started as Teagan Titus scored off the opening tip. After the Lady Comets answered on an and-one to take the lead, but Taylor Caron took it right back. After a back and forth first quarter the Lady Nado were out in front 11-8. In the second quarter, fouls would start to mount up as Chanute's two leading scorers would head to the line a number of times. Peyton Shields was 4-4 from the line and had a pair of threes in the second and Tyra Bogle 3-6 from the charity stripe. Chanute would head into the half leading 31-25.

The foul troubles followed the Nado into the second half as Shields would go 4-4 in the third quarter and 6-9 in the fourth quarter from the free-throw line finishing with 28 points. Bogle only scored from the line in the second half going 4-6 and finishing with 13 points. Caron, Sidney Lynn-Burnett, Brooklyn White and Teagan Titus would all foul out in the fourth quarter and put a halt to any comeback opportunists the Lady Nado had. FKHS falls to 0-7 on the season and are back on the road Tuesday as they travel to Fort Scott.
