Nado Drop Home Openers

Field Kindley drops both home openers as the girls fall to the Lady Vikings 53-34 and the boys 70-35.

In the girl's matchup, Parsons opened the game on an 8-0 run and never really looked back after scoring on the opening tip. The Lady Nado continue to be strong in their half-court defense, but turnovers and missed shots led to easy baskets in transition for Parsons. The Lady Vikings were led by Freshman Eliana Valentin-Florence with 17 points. Freshman Taylor Caron led the Lady Nado in scoring for the second straight game with 9 points.

In the boy's matchup, Coffeyville started three freshmen in place of the normal starters who were out for the game. One of those, Freshman Jake Horner, would help the Nado end the first quarter on an 8-2 run to take the lead. The second quarter and on would be all Vikings however as they would outscore the Nado 57-18.

Coffeyville is back at home on Friday taking on Chanute with the girls at 6:00pm and the boys to follow.
