In a game that saw wild scoring swings, the Dewey Bulldoggers were able to get the last laugh as they downed the Caney Valley Bullpups 46-35.
Dewey got off to a hot start in the first part of the contest as they jumped out to 13-0 and then a 16-3 lead. The Bullpup's offense then found its groove as it outscored Dewey 18-4 of the next 10 minutes of play that saw Caney only allow 4 points in the second quarter to take a 21-20 lead into the intermission.
Dewey then immediately went on a 10-0 run to start the 3rd quarter to jump out to a 30-21 lead that they would not relinquish the rest of the way as Caney was only able to score 14 points in the entire second half.
Dewey's Jake LaSpisa led the Dewey attack with 18 points followed by Bryson Hudon with 10 points. Caney's Anthony Rogers netted 13 points while Jack Billingsley had 8 points.
Caney Valley now goes on their Christmas Break and will return to action on January 4th as they will host Sedan. You will be able to listen to that game on the Mighty 690 KGGF. Connor Harbit will be on the call.
