Red Ravens Head into Conference Play 6-0

The Red Ravens women controlled the game from the opening tip as they never trailed winning 72-54. A strong 19-6 first quarter would set the tone early as the CCC women would force seven first-quarter turnovers for Connors State. The Cowgirls would try to cut into the lead in the second quarter but the full-court press continued to be too much forcing five more turnovers.

The Ravens would lead 36-22 at the half. Devin Wright would lead all scorers in the first half with 11 points. It was much of the same in the second for CCC as they controlled the game on both sides of the ball. Faith Simpson started to find her rhythm in the second half finishing with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Devin Wright added 13 alongside Simpson and off the bench, Nakia Cullom and Cheyenne Banks would add 13 and 8. Early foul trouble kept the Cowgirls leading scorer from going with 0 in the first half and only finishing with 7. Red Ravens are on the road as they start conference play on Wednesday in Cowley.
