CCC Uses Strong Second Half to Beat Fort Scott

Coffeyville Community College scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to leave Fort Scott with the 31-3 victory.

The Red Ravens stay undefeated with two games left on their regular season. It was a slow start for CCC struggling to get any momentum going in the first half. A field goal and 76 yards were all the offense could put up in the first quarter. Will Bohn would start the game at QB for the Ravens before being replaced by Jakson Thomson in the second quarter. Unlike the Hutchinson game, the change at QB didn't seem to spark the offense and the Ravens would take a 3-3 tie into the half.

However, in the second half Star Thomas would get things going with a 14-yard touchdown run. CCC leading by seven heading into the fourth when Thomson finally settled into the game. On the first play of the fourth Thomson found Isaiah Taylor on a 19 yard TD, then just over four minutes later would connect with Cortarious Wilson on an 86 yard TD and then finally with just over seven minutes left in the game would find Chris Belleamy for a 56 yard score. Thomson finished 7/13 for 188 yards and three TDs. The Red Ravens are back at home next week for the final time in the regular season taking on Garden City.
