The Caney Valley Bullpups picked up a win without even stepping on the field as Baxter Springs was forced to forfeit for their inability to field a team. Caney Valley attempted to find a replacement team but they were not able to find an opponent at such a late date.
Due to this development, Caney Valley moves to 5-2 on the season overall and moves to 2-2 in District 3A-1.
Senior Night activities are still scheduled to go on. The Senior Night ceremonies begin at 6:00 pm. Immediately following the ceremonies honoring the Seniors, the school will be hosting a stadium tailgate party. Hot dogs and chips will be provided and you are allowed to bring your own drinks.
Caney Valley will finish the regular season on the road against Columbus on October 22nd. Pregame starts at 6:30 pm with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 pm.
