West Elk and Oswego Led by Strong Offensive Performances

Two high-scoring offenses will match up when West Elk travels to Oswego this Friday.

The Patriots are 5-1 this season and are coming off of a dominant 64-6 victory over Cedar Vale-Dexter. The Patriots have gathered over 30 points in each of its five victories this season, but it is the defense that will need to step up Friday. Head coach Chris Haag said the Indians' offense can be confusing if the defense is unprepared.

That Oswego offense has lead to a lot of points this season, but the Indians have struggled to get into the win column. Oswego is 2-4 on the year, and lost to Marmaton Valley last week despite scoring a season-high 98 points. Head coach Matt Fowler said the Patriots success has come from a young core that will lead them for years to come.

West Elk is 2-1 in district play, while Oswego is still searching for its first district victory this season.
