Field Kindley picks up their first win of the season as they beat Labette County 22-6 on Homecoming Night. The defense led the way for the Nado as they picked up a safety to open up the scoring early in the second quarter. The Nado offense struggled finishing drives with multiple trips inside the Grizzlies' twenty-yard line but were unable to get into the endzone. With just over four minutes left in the first half, the Nado defense would step up once again picking off LCHS QB Kendall Holtzman and returning it for a touchdown.
The Grizzlies would answer on their first drive of the second half cutting the Nado lead back to two with a long touchdown drive. The Nado would hold that 8-6 lead for most of the second half until the three-minute mark of the fourth quarter when the defense would blow the game wide open with their second pick-six of the game. After a two-point conversion, FKHS led 16-6 and would add one final touchdown from QB Zac Becker for the 22-6 final. The Nado are back on the road next week taking on Chanute.
