Coffeyville and Independence both saw themselves move one spot in the latest NJCAA rankings.

 

Even with a 31-0 shutout win over Highland, Independence dropped one spot to #3 in the country. The Pirates were jumped over by Jones Community College from Mississippi who beat Hinds this past week 28-13. Jones was ranked #5 in last week's poll. The Pirates travel this Saturday to Hutchinson Community College for a noon match-up.

 

The Coffeyville Red Ravens moved up one spot to #8 after narrowly beating Butler on the road 35-21. The Red Ravens will take this week off before returning to action on October 16th at Fort Scott.

 

Other Jayhawk Conference teams in the rankings include the Hutchinson Blue Dragons returning to the polls at #13 after beating Garden City 24-16. Due to their second straight loss, Garden City dropped out of the top 15.
