The Caney Valley Bullpups were able to shut out their opponent for the second straight week as they defeated the Cherryvale Chargers 36-0.
After Cherryvale had a three and out on their first possession, Caney Valley got the ball on Cherryvale's 48-yard line and immediately marched down the field in 8 plays and capped it off with a 5-yard touchdown run from Trey King.
Caney Valley was able to tack on another touchdown to make it 14-0. On the ensuing kickoff, Cherryvale fumbled the return and Caney struck pay dirt just one play later.
Caney improves to 4-0 on the season and moves to 1-0 in District 3A-1 play. They will travel to Galena next Friday to take on the Bulldogs who beat Parsons on the last play of the game 14-6. You will be able to listen to that game on Greatest Hits 104.1 with KC Meiners and Kyle Hey on the call.
