Two Red Ravens Earn KJCCC Player of the Week Honors

Two Coffeyville Red Ravens have earned KJCCC Player of the Week Honors following the team's upset win over Hutchinson last Saturday.

Freshman defensive back Brenyen Scott won the Defensive Player of the Week award after picking up two interceptions, including one on the goal line to prevent a would-be Hutchinson touchdown.

Sophomore punter George Eberle took home the Special Teams Player of the Week award. Eberle punted eight times Saturday for an average of 47 yards per punt. Eberle's efforts pinned the Blue Dragons deep within their own territory and set up the Red Ravens defense for success. His longest two punts on the day were recorded at 82 and 75 yards.

Offensive Player of the Week honors went to Independence's R.J. Walker. The quarterback racked up 271 total yards and was responsible for four touchdowns en route to a 50-28 drubbing of Butler.
