A member of this year's Coffeyville women's basketball team has committed to play Division II ball.

Kailyn "KK" Lay has committed to play for Northeastern State in Talequah, Oklahoma. Lay ran point for the Red Ravens the past two seasons, averaging 6.2 points per game and 4.9 assists per game. She helped lead Coffeyville to a 15-7 record and an NJCAA Region VI quarterfinals appearance.

The RiverHawks play in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The conference includes several Kansas schools, including Pittsburg State, Newman University, Emporia State University, and Fort Hays State University. Lay joins a team that finished 6-16 this season.
