The Coffeyville track team traveled to Levelland, Texas, this week, competing at the NJCAA Division I Track and Field Championships.

 

Overall, it was a good day for the Red Ravens. The men finished in the top five, behind Iowa Central, Cloud County, and co-champions South Plains and Barton. The women finished in a tie for 23rd place.

 

A few Red Ravens also staked their claim to individual championships. Freshman sprinter Nolton Shelvin posted a new personal record of 10.09 seconds in the 100 meters. Meanwhile, Shelvin joined Guinove Joanus, Antoine Evans, and Dakari Charlton for their championship-winning 4x100 relay, finishing in 39.47 seconds.
