Independence Community College has a new men's basketball coach.

Justin Mann, who has served as the Pirates' associate head coach for the past two seasons, was named as the new top guy on Wednesday. Mann has contributed to a program that has gone 36-19 overall over the past two years. In his first season with the team, the Pirates posted their highest win total (23-9) since 2011. Last year's team had similar success, including an upset win over conference rival, and eventual NJCAA National Champion, Coffeyville.

Mann replaces former head coach Bill Morosco, who left the program for conference rival Garden City.
