University of Kansas Athletic Director Travis Goff announced this morning that former Buffalo head coach Lance Leipold has been named the 41st head coach of the KU football team.

Leipold went 37-33 in six seasons with the Bulls including three bowl appearances in his final three seasons with a 2-1 bowl record. Before becoming the head coach of Buffalo, he led DIII powerhouse Wisconsin-Whitewater to six consecutive national championships with a 109-6 record, becoming the fastest coach in NCAA history to get to 100 wins.

Leipold will have his toughest challenge yet of trying to turn around the current worst FBS program that hasn't won a road conference game since 2008.
