Coffeyville Heading to Second Round of National Tournament

Coffeyville dominated its opening round matchup in the NJCAA Tournament Monday, defeating Southwest Tennessee by a score of 89-62.

The Red Ravens dominated both halves, but did struggle a little bit with the Saluqis leading scorer, Jamey Sanders. However, Coffeyville used a great first half from freshman forward Hayden Brittingham, and a second half surge from sophomore guard Tylor Perry, to pull away and eventually pick up the 27-point victory.

Coffeyville now moves on to a second round, where the Red Ravens will meet Odessa Community College. The Wranglers are the #7 seed, but spent much of the 2021 season ranked in the Top 5 nationally. That game will tipoff tonight at 8:30 pm.
