A Coffeyville Community College pitcher is recognized as the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Week 10 Player of the Week.

Freshman right-hander pitcher Scout Huggins pitched a gem against Barton going 7 innings, allowing five hits while striking out eight. Huggins pitched in relief earlier in the week going 1 and 2/3 innings and striking out three in a 10-6 win over Highland. For the week, Huggins went 8 and 2/3 innings with 11 strikeouts. Huggins has only made four appearances on the year pitching in a total of 12 innings with a record of 1-0 in two games started and two appearances out of the bullpen.
