Coffeyville has been predicted to finish fifth out of eight teams in the KJCCC preseason coaches poll, just ahead of the 2021 football season.

The Red Ravens are predicted to finish above Dodge City, Fort Scott, and Highland, but under county rival Independence. The Pirates are predicted to finish fourth, with Hutchinson, Garden City, and Butler taking the top three spots.
