The University of Kansas and football head coach Les Miles are "mutually parting ways" amid sexual misconduct allegations from when he was the head coach at LSU.
Miles said in a statement, "I love this university and the young men in our football program. I truly enjoyed being the head coach at KU and know that it is in a better place now than when I arrived."
Miles coached the Jayhawks for just two seasons and only won three games in his tenure.
As for Athletic Director Jeff Long, he will begin another search for a head football coach. Long said in a statement, "I am extremely disappointed for our university, fans and everyone involved with our football program. There is a lot of young talent on this football team, and I have no doubt we will identify the right individual to lead this program."
KU has not won four or more games since 2009 and they haven't won a road Big 12 conference game since 2008. The Jayhawks are coming off their third winless season in the program's history and their second since 2012.
