Isaac Brown Named Wichita State's Next Head Basketball Coach

Wichita State has promoted Isaac Brown from their interim coach to their head coach.

It didn't take long for the Shox to make the decision with them being currently in first place in the American Atheltic Conference with just one week left in the regular season.

Brown becomes the 26th head coach for the Shockers and agrees to a five-year deal. Wichita State is currently 9-2 in conference play and 13-4 overall. Brown received the interim position just eight days before the regular season, and the Shockers struggled on and off the court with COVID-19 spreading on the team early in the season. After their 1-2 start, they have won 12 of their last 14 games including a current five-game winning streak, and are currently a half-game up on Houston for the top spot in the conference.

Wichita State has a road game at Tulane on Wednesday and a road game at Temple next Saturday before their conference tournament on Thursday, March 11th in Fort Worth, TX.
