Leon-Bluestem Defeats Neodesha 57-40

Leon-Bluestem got a 57-40 win on the road at Neodesha thanks to great defense and a balanced scoring attack.

Junior forward Kristofer Laidler led the way for the Lions with 14 points and was a force down low. His teammates did an excellent job finding him down low and he was able to finish on a majority of his opportunities.

Junior guard Jake Emmons had 11 points in the contest. On the defensive side, he played scrappy defense and irritated anyone he guarded by reaching in and cleanly getting steals.

As for senior guard Logan Walden, he finished the night with ten points with two three-pointers in the first quarter.

The Bluestreaks were short-handed with injuries to key players and only had nine players suit up. Junior guard Maddux Johnson led the way with 11 points, all of which coming in the first half.

Senior guard Seth Strange had ten points on the night with eight coming in the fourth quarter and Gage Bell had nine points.

Neodesha finishes up their regular season campaign Thursday against Northeast Arma.
