Bullpups Take A Bite Out of Neodesha

 

The Caney Valley Bullpups turned a close game after one quarter into a blowout as they defeated Neodesha 80-45 Friday night.

 

Caney Valley and Neodesha traded blows in the 1st quarter that saw the Bullpups own a 14-6 before they turned on the jets and in the second quarter and never looked back. The Bullpups were led by DaRon Davis who had a game-high 22 points including a big three-point play in the second quarter.

 

Also part of the Bullpup attack was Jack Billingsley who had 17 points, Kaehl Smith with 14, and Tanner Rose who came off the bench with 10 points. Neodesha was paced by Maddux Johnson who had 17 points and drained five 3-point shots. Phoenix Carpenter had 11 for the Blue Streaks with Seth Strange had nine points including a third-quarter play where he attacked the glass.

 

The Bullpups, currently 6-4 on the year, are riding a 4-game winning streak and will return to action on Monday as they will take on Field Kindley in Coffeyville. You will be able to listen to that game on Sonshine 98.9 KQQF with Matt Jordan and Kyle Hey on the call beginning at 6 pm.
