Caney Blows Away Eureka

 

Four Caney Valley players ended up in double figures as the Bullpups blew out the Eureka Tornadoes Tuesday night by a score of 76-49.

 

Eureka led Caney Valley at the end of a briskly played first quarter but Caney Valley took control of the game with a 21-7 second quarter that gave the Bullpups a 37-24 halftime advantage. Caney outscored Eureka 39-25 in the second half to arrange the final margin.

 

Kaehl Smith led a very spread out Caney effort with 14 points. Daron Davis added 12 points, Ridic Martin netted 11 points while Jace Scott chipped in 10 points. Eureka's Gabe Valentine led all scorers with 18 points.

 

Caney moves to 4-4 on the season and will not get much rest for the next week as this was the first of 5 games in 7 days. The Bullpups travel to Inola for a match-up on Thursday before returning to league play when they travel to Neodesha on Friday. You will be able to catch the Neodesha game on Classic Hits 104.1 with tip-off scheduled for 7:30. Kyle Hey will be on the call.
