Sedan will once again be the focus of our Game of the Week as the Blue Devils host a regional matchup against Chase County.

Sedan, still undefeated at 9-0, defeated Oxford 58-6 in last week's opening round. Quarterback Eli Campbell rushed for five touchdowns in that game and threw for one more. In the backfeld, Sedan employed a running back committee that included Garrett Everett and freshman Jeremiah Prince. The Blue Devil defense was also stout, forcing four Oxford turnovers.

However, the competition will be decidedly stiffer this round, as Chase County are themselves 7-2 and defeated Cedar Vale-Dexter last Thursday by a final of 66-0. The Bulldogs played some very good competition during the regular season, with their two losses coming to undefeated squads Lebo and Madison.

The winner of Friday's contest will move on to face the winner of Clifton-Clyde and Little River. In other area games, Oswego will continue their run toward an 8-man championship by taking on Madison, while Fredonia travels to Osage City for Class 2A action.
