It'll be a busy Saturday for high school sports in Kansas with cross country and volleyball having their postseasons starting.

Cross Country sub-state action gets underway with Chanute hosting a 4A regional including teams such as Independence, Field Kinley and Fort Scott among others. In 3A, Fredonia hosts their regional with Caney Valley, Neodesha and Galena amongst the group.

Volleyball sub-state tournaments also kick off across the state. Galena hosts a 3A regional with Caney Valley, Cherryvale and 6 others participating. In 4A, Field Kinley travels to Labette with Independence and Parsons also competing.
