The Caney Valley Bullpups wrap up the regular season at home Friday as they take on the Columbus Titans.

 

The Bullpups enter the contest at 6-1 on the season and 3-1 in district play. Columbus has a perfect 7-0 record overall while 4-0 in the district. Caney Valley and Columbus both average over 200 yards rushing per game so the defense could be the deciding factor as Caney gives up only 13 points per game while Columbus surrenders only 11 per contest. Caney also has two shutouts on the season.

 

Different playoff scenarios surround this contest as the Bullpups could end up anywhere from district champ and to third place. A win by 20 points and a loss by Galena would give Caney the district championship. A win by 20 points and a Galena victory by 14 points or more places the Bullpups second. A win of fewer than 20 points or a loss would leave the Bullpups in third place and they would begin the playoffs on the road.
