Final Round of Girls' Golf State Tournament

 

St. Mary's Colgan held on to their lead Tuesday as they went on to win the 3-2-1A Girls' Golf State Championship.

 

Colby finished in second, Cimmaron finished third, and Caney Valley finished in fourth place with a score of 400 on Monday and 395 on Tuesday.

 

Colby freshman Anna Starbuck shot an 81 in her final round as she won State by seven strokes. St. Mary's Colgan had three of their golfers finish in the top five.

 

Individually, Caney Valley's Emma Hockett shot a 192 for the tournament, Ava Freisberg shot a 196, Talynn Thornton finished with a 201, Saige Scott scored a 206, and Anna Washburn was able to shoot a 239.
