Field Kindley picked up a much needed victory over Chanute 27-24 to end their 4 game losing streak, improving to 2-4 on the season. The Nado fell into a hole early trailing 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. The Nado run game began to pick up momentum in the second quarter and that would be what carried Coffeyville to the win. Ethan Camp with 222 yards rushing and two touchdowns and what is possibly the play of the game on a run on third down and eight to seal the victory.
Coach Wade picks up his first home win on the season and the Nado are 1-1 in league play with a shot at the league title in a matchup next week against Fort Scott.
