Pitt State Announces Fall Football Schedule

There will be fall college football in southeast Kansas after all. Pittsburg State football has announced dates for four games this fall, with the expectation of adding a fifth.

The Gorillas plan to play five games this fall with two against MIAA rivals Nebraska-Kearney and Missouri Western. The MIAA suspended the fall season back in August, citing, among other things, COVID-19 testing requirements from the NCAA. As far as fan attendance and procedures for those games, that’s still a work in progress.

The Gorillas will begin their season at home at 1 PM on Halloween day as Nebraska-Kearney will be calling. The next two games will be on the road against Missouri Western and NCAA FCS opponent Stephen F. Austin on November 7th and 14th, respectively. The Gorillas will have a home game to be announced at a later date on November 2nd with the season ending November 28th on the road against West Texas A&M.
