The time has come following the 2020 NFL Draft where teams begin letting go of some players to cut down to the required 90 man offseason roster. 

 

The Chiefs began that process on Monday by releasing QB Kyle Shurmur. 

 

Shurmur joined the Chiefs last season as an undrafted free agent and did not make the roster after training camp. 

 

Kansas City recently signed former XFL QB Jordan Ta'amu to provide depth behind Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.
