Field Kindley now has an opening for a head football coach. Head Coach Darrin Wegner will be heading back to Oklahoma as he has accepted the job at Oologah High School. The USD 445 school board approved the resignation of Wegner at their most recent school board meeting.

Wegner got to FKHS in 2016 and had a 4-5 record in both his first and second seasons. He made his first playoff appearance in 2018 and got his first playoff win before being eliminated in the second round finishing with a 5-5 record. In what is now a rough last season the Nado finished with a 2-7 record. Wegner finishes with at 15-22 record in his four years in Coffeyville.
