KU men's basketball coach Bill Self and football coach Les Miles have both spoken out in support of social distancing to help stop the spread of COVID-19. 

Videos posted to Kansas Governor Laura Kelly's Facebook page showed Self and Miles discussing the importance of following CDC guidelines. Miles, who completed his first season as the Jayhawks' head coach last fall, said the guidelines are something everyone should follow. 

Self, speaking from his experience as a coach, compared following CDC guidelines with instructing his basketball teams.

Governor Kelly thanked the two coaches for their contributions to her awareness campaign.
