CCC's Fall Picks Up Shot Put National Title

Coffeyville's Indoor Track & Field Team recently competed this past weekend at the NJCAA National Indoor Championships in Lynchburg, Virginia, with one Red Raven picking up a national championship.

Mustafa Fall, who hails from Suva, Fiji, won the national title in the shot put event. He set a school record and Fiji-record with a toss of 18.35 meters, or just over 60 feet. His winning toss came on the fifth of his six attempts.

Fall also defeated Cloud County's Courtney Lawrence and Barton County's Fred Moudani, as well as his teammate Dennis Ohene-Adu en route to the title.

The Coffeyville men's team earned a 7th place finish overall, with a team score of 33 points. The women's team earned a 13th place finish with 13 points.
