It's Selection Monday for the NJCAA Men's Basketball Tournament and three Region 6 teams will compete for the title. The Coffeyville Community College Red Ravens land the 15 seed as the champion representing Region 6 and they will face the 18 seed South Plains in the first round matchup on Monday, March 16th at 2:00pm on KUSN 98.1. If they win they will face the 2 seed Indian Hills who CCC faced earlier this season on the road losing 70-68.
Two other Region 6 teams received at large bids. Colby is the highest seeded Region 6 team at the 11 seed and they will face the 22 seed Monroe. Colby finished with a 27-5 record and lost in the semi finals of the Region 6 Tournament to Butler. Cowley lands the 19 seed and will face the 14 seed Murray State. Cowley finished with a 26-6 record losing to Coffeyville in the semifinals. Region 6 runner-up Butler did not make the national tournament.
