First round matchups have been set for the Region 6 Division 1 basketball playoffs, with Coffeyville and Independence both receiving home matchups

 

On the Coffeyville side, the men's team received the 5-seed and will take on 12th-seeded Dodge City. The women's team will be the 3rd-seed and will host 14th-seeded Garden City. The women will tip-off this Wednesday, February 26th, at 5:30. The men will follow the conclusion of the first game.

 

The Independence men received the 7th-seed and will play 10th-seeded Seward County. The women fared better, picking up the 5th-seed and a home matchup with 12th-seeded Colby. Those games will tip-off at 6 p.m., with the men once again following the conclusion of the women's game.

 

The quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals of the Region 6 Divison 1 tournament will be played at the United Wireless Arena in Dodge City. Full brackets can be seen below.
