The Kansas State men's basketball team battled but came up short at Alabama in the Big 12 / SEC Challenge on Saturday, losing 77-74.
The Wildcats (8-11) used a 15-2 second half run after being down 16 to get back within one but the Crimson Tide posted back to back buckets and never looked back.
K-State was led in scoring by Cartier Diarra with 17 points off the bench while Alabama (12-7) was led in scoring by Kira Lewis Jr. who posted 26 points.
The Wildcats are back in action on Wednesday night at home against Oklahoma.
